Tom Scholten is an Embedded Crime Analyst in the Crime and Education Labs. Tom will be working with the Chicago Police Department to support the Department’s use of data as it relates to identifying patterns and trends. Tom will also provide analytical support on other projects that the Crime and Education Labs complete. Tom will be responsible for working with partners in the field to develop and deploy tools to help them achieve their mission.

Tom holds an M.A. in geography from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and a B.S. in journalism from Grand Valley State University.  Tom most recently worked as a crime analyst at the Madison Police Department in Madison, Wisconsin.
